DELIVERY TRUCK DRIVER We are seeking a reliable and motivated Truck Driver / Warehouse Personnel to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role is hands-on and dynamic, combining warehouse operations with local and provincial deliveries of event décor, props, and furniture. The successful candidate will work closely with the Inventory Specialist to ensure accurate inventory management and efficient order fulfillment.
RATE OF PAY: $28 - $35 per hour
4-hour minimum pay guarantee per shift
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time (hourly employee; no contractors)
Benefits: Eligible for extended benefits following a probationary period
Flexibility Required: Shifts will include evenings and weekends based on event schedules
RESPONSIBILITIES
Transportation & Delivery:
Drive 3-ton and 5-ton trucks to venues throughout Vancouver, Whistler, and across BC & Alberta
Conduct pre-trip inspections and report any vehicle issues or damages
Secure loads properly, ensuring correct weight distribution and tie-down procedures
Coordinate on-site load-ins and load-outs in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
Confident and correct use of ratchet straps and other safety packing techniques
Warehouse & Inventory Operations:
Pull, pack, prep, restock, and stage rental and event orders
Receive rental returns and inspect items for damage or missing components
Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse environment
Ensure inventory is stored correctly and stock locations remain accurate
Load and unload trucks with boxes, bins, décor, and furniture
Safely use moving equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and rolling boards
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Must be 25 years of age or older (insurance requirement)
Hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Proven experience driving 3-ton and 5-ton trucks, particularly within the Lower Mainland
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Comfortable managing load weight distribution and using tie straps effectively
Ability to push, pull, and move large or heavy items using moving equipment
Capable of navigating stairs while carrying items
Able to stand for extended periods and work in tight or restricted spaces
Willingness and ability to become proficient in SPECTRA’s inventory database
ASSETS
Previous experience in warehouse operations
Familiarity with inventory management software or warehouse management systems
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail when handling inventory and orders
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Mechanical aptitude or basic knowledge of truck and equipment maintenance
Forklift or warehouse equipment certification
Flexible schedule and willingness to work extended hours during peak event periods
