ACCOUNT SALE SPECIALIST
Reporting to the Principal, the Account Sales Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic client relationships, high-value opportunities, and disciplined sales execution.
This role is focused on identifying, developing, and converting corporate and agency clients into long-term partners. The ideal candidate is confident in client-facing environments, understands how to position creative services, and can lead conversations that result in meaningful, high-budget work.
This is not a transactional sales role, it is about building trust, shaping opportunities, and closing complex projects.
RATE OF PAY: $60,000 – $70,000 annual salary + performance-based commission
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Typical Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
(Client meetings, site visits, and occasional evenings/weekends as required)
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Business Development
Identify and pursue new corporate, agency, and DMC clients across Western Canada
Proactively generate opportunities through outreach, networking, and industry presence
Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of high-value prospects
Lead initial client conversations to understand objectives, scope, and opportunity fit
Sales Strategy & Conversion
Position Spectra Event Group as a design-led partner, not a rental provider
Guide clients through the sales process with clarity and confidence
Develop proposals in collaboration with internal teams that align with client goals and budgets
Close projects that meet profitability targets and strategic criteria
Account Management
Build long-term relationships with key clients, agencies, and partners
Act as a primary point of contact throughout the early phases of a project
Identify repeat opportunities and expand existing accounts
Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with clients
Collaboration with Internal Teams
Work closely with design, operations, and production teams to align on project scope and execution
Ensure accurate handoff of projects from sales to operations
Maintain clarity between client expectations and internal capabilities
Pipeline & Performance Management
Track all opportunities, communications, and deal progress within CRM systems
Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting
Meet or exceed individual revenue targets and KPIs
Continuously refine outreach strategies and sales approach
Qualifications & Assets
Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management
Experience in event, production, marketing agency, or related industries is considered an asset
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to build trust and credibility with corporate clients and agencies
Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-based environment
Proficiency in Google Workspace and CRM systems
Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
